Vice Chancellor’s Message
Greetings!
It gives me an immense pleasure to note that Vinayaka Mission’s Sankarachariyar Dental College, Salem a constituent college of VMRF-DU is hosting the National Conference on Technology and Innovations in Healthcare (NCTIH) in 2024. This unique conference will offer a platform for healthcare and technology professionals to explore the avenues of working together for the general wellbeing of humanity.
Our university being a multidisciplinary university looks forward to such initiatives of including recent technology of Artificial Intelligence, big data analysis, machine learning, etc… in healthcare delivery. A healthy nation is based on healthy citizens and health comprises of physical, mental, spiritual and social wellbeing. Hence, a holistic approach to teaching and learning is essential for a society to contribute to the welfare of the nation.
I exhort all the constituent colleges of VMRF DU to make the best use of this conference to build networks which will help in future collaborative activities fructifying into start ups and entrepreneurship.
I also welcome one and all to this enterprising event which will definitely benefit in building knowledge and scaling up skills in technology related solutions for state – of – the – art healthcare. I wish the organizing team my best wishes on this endeavor and look forward to meeting all the participants at the event.

I am glad to note that Vinayaka Mission’s Sankarachariyar Dental College, Salem, a Constituent College of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem is organizing the National Conference on Technology and Innovations in Healthcare (NCTIH 24), on 23rd & 24th of August, 2024 at Salem.
The need for innovation and technology-driven transformations has become integral for healthcare to reach the masses. Technology holds the potential to be the key enabler in promoting and utilizing agile innovations to fill the existing gaps in the healthcare sector.
I appreciate the theme of the conference and also the selection of eminent speakers who will effectively analyse the importance of applying latest technologies for practicing innovative procedures in the delivery of health and medical care services to the needy.
This conference is indeed a unique event which will act as a bridge for Interdisciplinary / Multidisciplinary approach by involving deep and robust integration of distinct disciplines of Health Sciences and Technology and encouraging younger minds towards research and innovation.
It will also enhance the understanding of prospective researchers and students interested in medical -related fields and thereby pave way for a variety of high- quality research inputs in the field of Healthcare and make a substantial contribution to the scientific community and humanity.
I congratulate the organizers of NCTIH-24 on their efforts to bring the National level scientists and technologist on this platform.

Health care is rapidly progressing towards achieving precision and accuracy in diagnosis and treatment. Zero to minimal error in quality health care and safety is possible only as a result of the solutions rendered by Innovations in Digital health care Technology. Hence,Vinayaka Mission’s Sankarachariyar Dental College, VMRF (DU), Salem is organizing the “National Conference on Technology and Innovations in Healthcare” – SPARK 24’ on 23,24 August 2024.
This Conference is a conglomeration of diverse streams using recent advances for betterment of humanity. Expect a unique experience of listening to applications of Arti_cial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Virtual Surgical Planning (VSP) in healthcare from reputed personalities of di_erent disciplines.
This platform is open for undergraduate, postgraduate students, Research scholars, Faculties and private entrepreneurs related to Health care, Engineering, Biotechnology and Arts & Science. Preconference courses have been planned at various institutions of VMRF (DU) for focused groups. Besides paper and e-poster presentations, we also have an exclusive Idea pitching event on multidisciplinary projects in this conference. Looking forward to a great interaction with proactive minds and exploding ideas in the two days of the conference.
